It’s October, it’s a half day wedding booking and the weathers holding out. A lovely small wedding with a theme which I discovered as I walked around capturing the details…it’s Alice in Wonderland themed.

From the food to the wedding decor there are little touches brought to life in Amy’s mind and organised by the staff at Muckrach. One thing about Muckrach is that just about everything downstairs in the hotel can be bought, nice little added extra!

Wedding prep all going to plan, wedding to plan, food to plan…this is Muckrach, this is weddings.

A few from the day grabbed from the cards.

Venue: Muckrach Country House Hotel

Gillian and David | Loch Farr Wedding Mon, 20 Aug 2018 10:15:19 +0000 Loch Farr wedding for Gillian and David this weekend. A young couple who have been a couple since school and chose today to tie the knot at one of their favourite locations followed by Mountain Grange lodge in Boat of Garten. Weather is windy up until we leave for the ceremony and suddenly it’s flat calm and the clouds are clearing. Timed perfectly I’d say! Joined by their nearest family and closest friends the couple were married by Halde Pottinger on the little pier at Loch Farr as the weather continued to be in our favour. A trip over the back roads to visit some other areas they liked to capture some memorable images and it was back to Mountain Grange lodge to celebrate! A lodge I know well…I photographed the lodge for their website!

These are random images chosen from the couples gallery whilst they get ready to head off on honeymoon, enjoy it and congratulations again!

Ceremony Location: Loch Farr
Humanist: Halde Pottinger
Bridal Bouquet: Wild Gorse
Reception Venue: Mountain Grange

Deborah and Euan | Kellas House Wedding Sun, 12 Aug 2018 21:35:20 +0000 Kellas House wedding, one of not many weddings held at this stunning estate and house. The day started at Deborah’s parents farm with the girls getting ready prior to heading down the road to the venue at Kellas House. Marquee in the grounds in front of the house, seating outside for the wedding as the weather is holding out.

These are some random images chosen from the couples gallery whilst they look through the images and head off on honeymoon. Congratulation again to you both and enjoy the honeymoon!

PS those tea cups… tea was consumed from them, prosecco cocktails maybe were.

Alana & Ryan | Ardverikie House Wedding | Inverlochy Castle Fri, 10 Aug 2018 11:19:14 +0000 Ardverikie House wedding with a couple from Australia, an elopement wedding for Alana and Ryan!

Meeting up with Ryan and Alana after emailing back and forth for months at the Gate House of Ardverikie Estate. Most will know (as Alana does) Ardverikie House as ‘The Big House’ of Glenbogle in the TV Series Monarch of the Glen. A half day booking where we crammed in as much as possible. Wedding at the utterly stunning and huuuuuge Ardverikie House, followed by the gorgeous Inverlochy Castle for their ‘reception’.

A lovely couple full of love and happiness, their wedding was as it should be, simple and what they wanted. Again thank you both for allowing me to capture your day, sore foot and all.

These are just a few sneak peeks from the entire gallery whilst the couple look through all the images.

Katarina and Ronny | Dalvey House Wedding Sat, 04 Aug 2018 22:59:36 +0000 Katarina and Ronny contacted me back back in 2017 to see if I would be available to capture their wedding at Dalvey House near Forres. Only issue, they wanted a beach or forest to actually have the ceremony at. I met up with them months before the wedding when they were over from Germany to take them on a whistlestop tour of Culbin sands and forest and..Roseisle Beach and Forest, Roseisle was decided upon!

24 guests included the couple staying at Dalvey House for the week, culminating in the wedding celebrations in the marquee and house itself. These are just a few of the sneak peek images from the day whilst the couple look through their gallery.

Thank you once again for allowing me to capture your day x

Bogbain Wedding | Katie and Chris Sat, 14 Jul 2018 09:43:10 +0000 Bogbain Wedding with Katie and Chris. The couple chose to get married at East Church in Inverness, I don’t think there would have been anywhere else they would have been married, Chris’s Dad is after all the minister. Weather is holding out again today, it’s been wet but we’re good to go with rain stoppers (brollies) in the car boot.

First time capturing a wedding in the Inverness East Church and I must say a thank you to Rev. Prof. A.T.B. McGowan for being one of the ministers we all like as a wedding photographer, understanding that the wedding should be captured and that not all photographers are intrusive.

A quick car drive over to Redcastle to an area Katie and Chris had found and wanted to have some photos at, now Bogbain for the reception and meal. Everyone is fed well by Fired Up everyone receiving pretty much half a chicken each with all the trimmings, my belly is certainly full and that’s no mean feat!

Group shots done in between the rain showers and before everyone gets their dancing shoes on, quick nip to a nearby field with Highland Cows and the couple and the nights dancing begins.

Congrats again to the couple who were off to Jamaica on honeymoon, these are just a few from the day, The best ones kept for the couple. Thank you again for having me along to capture your day.

Jess and Emma | Belladrum Tipi Wedding Tue, 29 May 2018 22:40:33 +0000 ‘Baby in our wildest moments We could be the greatest, we could be the greatest, You and I, blurred lines We come together every time’ (J.Ware)

Whilst the couple are scooting about the NC500, these are just some of the sneak peeks until they get to see their full gallery. I say some…with so much thought put into a wedding, there was sooo much goodness going on. #belladrumwedding #tipiwedding #everythingornothing #builditandtheywillcome

Emily and Ray | Clava Cairns Handfasting Wed, 02 May 2018 11:02:04 +0000 Clava Cairns handfasting with Emily and Ray, booked for a couple of hours and the weather stayed dry, thankfully as I lost one of my big white umbrellas whilst up there. Emily and Ray chose a handfasting ceremony with Davina from Scottish Highland Weddings.

Normally at this time of year, in fact all year, Clava Cairns can be extremely busy thanks to the TV Series Outlander. Today, it appears we lucked out a little as it’s not too busy with visitors. A few meandering about but they’ve kept out the way and are standing in the background like paparazzi, getting all excited about this ‘wedding’.

These are just a few from the short time I was there with the couple receiving their full gallery the following day.

Ardmair Point Wedding | Ullapool Wedding | Amy and Stuart Tue, 01 May 2018 07:39:49 +0000 Ardmair Point wedding on a sunny spring day, near Ullapool, for Amy and Stuart.

A half day wedding booking as Amy and Stuart chose a small marquee wedding at one of their favourite places in Scotland, Ardmair Point near Ullapool. The site overlooks the loch with stunning scenery all around. It’s stayed dry so far, so that’s a plus. I joined just as the wedding preperations were nearing completion with Suzanne McMahon on hair duty. Whilst capturing the goings on, a small Orkney type boat was spotted bobbing about and going out into the Loch and then back, yes, this was confirmed as the groom! 5 hours of me capturing the day in a documentary style with group shots flew by and before we knew it, it was speeches and meal time. The end of my short day.

These are just a few from the gallery chosen at random whilst the couple, their friends and family look through the entire gallery. Thank you again!

Eagle Brae Elopement Wedding | Lorraine and Shelley Wed, 24 Jan 2018 19:58:15 +0000 Scottish elopement wedding for Lorraine and Shelley. Having decided to spend a week at Eagle Brae, they also chose to get married and asked myself to capture the moment and also be a witness.

Eagle Brae is a stunning location for a break away or as Lorraine and Shelley did, an elopement wedding! Surrounded by the landscape with the log cabins blending in, they are luxury.

A couple of hours up at Eagle Brae, stags, a Bernese mountain dog, rain, snow and ducks all made it into the photographs.

Congrats again to you both, enjoy the sneak peeks here and your full gallery.

35mm film yet to be developed, oh yeah, I also took a FILM camera alongside the digital bodies
